Database Programmer/Analyst

Financial Marketing Associate
Primary duties: We are currently seeking a Marketing Associate to work with and support our marketing efforts in the Institutional Group.
-Working closely with the Institutional marketing team to create and disseminate external communications, including monthly database updates, requests for proposal, questionnaires, and marketing presentations.
-Developing a thorough understanding of Thornburgs institutional asset management product offerings, as well as an understanding of our client service capabilities.
-Maintaining up-to-date information in our internal marketing databases.
-Assisting in improving and automating our marketing communications processes.

Inside Sales Partner
We are currently seeking an Internal Sales Partners (ISP) to work with and support our Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) on our Sales Team. It is both a Strategic and Partnered selling position. Strategically, it is a sales role where the ISP is responsible for driving a portion of the business in the territory. As a valued Partner, each ISP is focused on building, growing, and maintaining business and professional relationships. This position reports to the Internal Sales Manager.
Primary duties:
- Working closely with the RSMs to sell TIM investment products through financial intermediaries
- Assisting in cultivating new and deepening existing relationships with advisors through the use of selling technology to identify opportunities and drive sales.
- Outbound and inbound telephone work.
- Aid in scheduling sales appointments for RSM.
- Work with contact relationship management database (SalesLogix) to track meetings, advisor information, etc.
Requirements:
- Strong desire to succeed, self starter with energy, enthusiasm and desire necessary to achieve goals in a consistent and timely manner.
- Enjoy telephone sales.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- A solid understanding of financial markets and resources.
- 3 years experience in the financial services industry in a sales environment preferred.

Mutual Fund Research Associate
Primary duties: Continually update and maintain outside databases with Mutual Fund statistics and performance data. Respond to RFPs and due diligence questionnaires and distribute month end performance reports, charts, and faxes. Perform competitive analysis and various research projects on an ad hoc basis. Run investment performance analytical software.
Requirements: Proficiency in Excel & knowledge of financial services industry and Thornburg products. Familiarity with financial mathematics and statistics is desirable. A Bachelors degree in finance is preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Operations Associates
Primary duties: The successful candidates will be the link between the mutual funds and their transfer agent, shareholders and outside investment professionals. Will respond to requests for information. Will perform internal and external service and operational tasks using state-of-the-art technology.
Requirements: Exceptional customer service skills/customer service experience required. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Must be proficient in MS Office. Will be required to complete two series of NASD examinations within first year of employment, company will provide study materials and pay exam fees. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Portfolio Specialist
Primary duties: Responsibilities will include: running investment performance analytical software; serving as a liaison between portfolio managers and due diligence teams by keeping up-to-date on investment strategies; developing and updating portfolio presentations.
Requirements: Position requires an in-depth understanding of investment strategies and vehicles, as well as a working knowledge of due diligence teams and Registered Investment Advisors. Willingness to travel and exceptional interpersonal skills a must. Bachelors degree required, CFA charterholder or significant progress towards also required.
